The Functions of Bread Maker

!±8± The Functions of Bread Maker

There is nothing that smells more like home and comfort than homemade bread baking in the kitchen. And, there is nothing that tastes better with dinner than a slice of freshly baked bread and butter. Remember when you were a kid and you came home from school to the smell of fresh baked bread coming from the kitchen where you mother would be beating, kneading and baking?

Now you can have that same comfortable feeling you had back then and the smell of fresh baked bread coming from the kitchen. The difference now is that you do not have to do all of the beating, kneading and baking by yourself. A quality bread making machine will do all of the work for you. All you have to do is accurately measure the ingredients and place them in the bread maker in the order suggested in the manual.

How does the bread maker work? It works just the same as if you were going to make and bake the bread yourself except that after you place the ingredients into the little pail within the maker, the machine will then mix the dough, knead it and let it rise and then bake it for you. You will never have to touch the dough until it is fully baked into a loaf of bread. Does it taste the same as a hand made bread loaf? Yes, you cannot tell the difference except that the bread made in the bread maker may have a little indentation on the bottom of the loaf where the little mixing paddle remained during the baking process.

In order to find one that is best for you, you will need to know how much bread your family consumes. Most bread makers will bake one pound, one and a half pound, two pound, or three pound loves of bread. However, you can safely buy a larger maker because it will be able to make smaller loaves and yet you will have the capacity to make larger loaves if you are entertaining. You will not be able to make larger loaves if you have a smaller bread maker.

You want to look at the features that the various bread makers have to offer. If you want to have your fresh baked bread ready for you when you get home from the office, then you want a automatic maker that has a timer and a warming feature. In the event you want to add ingredients to your dough at different intervals, then you want a bread maker that will allow you to do this.

Bread makers have many features and you have to decide which of the features you would benefit from the most.
